Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 25, 2026

The Wild Amber (legal name Wild Amber Creative Solutions) is a solo business consulting practice specializing in systems, workflows, and ethical AI integration. It is run by Elina Briezkalne, based in Kamloops, BC, Canada. I respect your privacy and am committed to handling personal information responsibly, transparently, and in compliance with Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

This Privacy Policy explains what information I collect, how I use it, how I protect it, and what rights you have. It applies to visitors to thewildamber.com, people who contact me, and clients who work with me.

1. Information I Collect

1a. Website Visitors

When you browse thewildamber.com, certain information may be collected automatically through Wix, the platform that hosts my website. This may include your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages viewed. This information is used to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. I do not personally collect or store this data; it is handled by Wix in accordance with their privacy policy.

1b. Inquiries and Contact

When you contact me through the website inquiry form or by email, I collect the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, email address, business name, and the details you share about your situation. I do not ask for or collect phone numbers through my website. If you choose to include a phone number in your message, I will use it only to respond to your inquiry.

1c. Client Intake

When you become a client, I collect information necessary to carry out the work we have agreed to. This includes your completed intake questionnaire and the working materials you choose to share with me, such as email templates, client intake forms, contracts, and operations documents. This information is used solely to understand how your business runs and to build the systems and documents we have agreed on.

I never ask for passwords. You grant me temporary, revocable access to your accounts and platforms through your own settings, following my written Safe Temporary Access Guide. You can revoke that access at any time. I do not store login credentials of any kind.

1d. Health and Clinical Information

I work with health and wellness practices, but I never access, review, or store patient health records, clinical notes, or any personal health information about your clients. The work I do is limited to your business systems, workflows, documents, and operations — not your clinical practice or client health data.

1e. Digital Products

When you purchase a digital toolkit, template, or other downloadable product from my shop, I collect the information necessary to process your transaction. Payment is handled securely by Wix Payments and Wave. I do not store payment card information.

2. How I Use Your Information

I use the information I collect for the following purposes:

  • To respond to inquiries and determine whether we are a good fit

  • To carry out the client work we have agreed to

  • To deliver, invoice, and follow up on services and digital products

  • To maintain records of our engagement for my own business records

  • To improve my website and understand how visitors use it

I do not use your information for unsolicited marketing, and I will never sell your personal information to anyone.

3. AI Tools in My Work

I use AI tools, including Claude (Anthropic) and Gemini (Google), in my day-to-day work. This includes drafting, analyzing, and organizing information as part of my process. I use these tools carefully and in a way that protects your privacy:

  • I do not paste sensitive personal information, client health data, or confidential business material into AI tools without a clear and necessary reason

  • Where AI is used to help build your business documents or prompts, it is guided by your own voice and materials, not left to generate generic content

  • Any custom AI prompt libraries or voice documents I build for you as part of our engagement are yours. I do not share them with third parties

If you have questions about how I use AI tools in your specific project, please ask. I am happy to explain.

4. When I Share Your Information

I do not sell your personal information. I share personal information only as necessary to operate my business and deliver my services:

  • Wix: my website is built and hosted on Wix, which processes visitor data and form submissions on my behalf

  • Wave: I use Wave for invoicing. Payment and billing information is handled through Wave’s secure platform

  • Wix Payments: for digital product purchases made through my shop

  • Google Workspace: I use Google Workspace for email, document storage, and calendar. Client files and correspondence are stored in secure Google Drive folders

  • AI tools: as described in Section 3 above, used carefully and without sharing sensitive personal information unnecessarily

I do not share your information with any other third parties unless required by law or with your explicit consent.

5. Data Retention

I retain your information for as long as necessary to deliver the services we have agreed on and to maintain reasonable business records afterward. For active clients, this means the duration of our engagement plus a reasonable period following completion. For inquiries that do not result in an engagement, I retain your contact information only long enough to respond to your inquiry.

You may request that I delete your information at any time by contacting me at elina@thewildamber.com. I will honor deletion requests where I am not legally required to retain the information.

6. How I Protect Your Information

I take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure:

  • Client files and correspondence are stored in secure, access-controlled Google Workspace folders

  • I never ask for passwords or store login credentials of any kind

  • Temporary account access is handled through your own settings and is revocable by you at any time

  • I do not access, store, or handle payment card data directly

  • No patient health records or clinical information are ever accessed or stored

While I take these precautions seriously, no system is completely secure. If you have specific concerns about how your information is handled, please contact me directly.

7. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA and BC’s PIPA, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information I hold about you

  • Request a copy of your personal information

  • Request corrections to inaccurate information

  • Withdraw consent for the use of your personal information (subject to legal or contractual obligations)

  • Request deletion of your personal information where I am not legally required to retain it

To exercise any of these rights, contact me at elina@thewildamber.com. I will respond to your request within a reasonable time frame.

8. Facebook and Social Media

I maintain a business page on Facebook (The Wild Amber). When you interact with my page, like, comment, or send a message, that interaction is subject to Facebook’s own privacy policy, not mine. I do not collect personal information from Facebook interactions beyond what you voluntarily share with me directly. I participate in Facebook business groups in a helpful, non-promotional way and do not use group interactions to collect personal data.

9. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as my business evolves. The date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. I encourage you to review it periodically. Continued use of my website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Contact
